Projects

Projects allow you and your Teams to collaborate and iterate on a 3D scene. You can access them from your Workspace Overview page, or on the Projects page.

Projects page.

Your list of projects will show in a table on your Projects page, and can be sorted searched. You can open the Editor at any point to work on a project.

Within a Project, there are three “Modes” for:

  1. Editing the 3D scene
  2. Setting up configuration
  3. Previewing your draft products

At any point in the workflow, a project can be published into an immutable product.

Using Projects Projects can be viewed and created from the Workspace Overview page, or on the Projects page.

  • Edit, configure, and preview your 3D products within the context of a Project
  • Multiple collaborators can contribute, with auto-save functionality to ensure your work is safe, and a version management system to keep everyone in sync.
  • Projects that are no longer needed can be deleted.
  • Duplicate projects to create alternative iterations or test new ideas

Create a Project from the Workspace Overview page, or the Projects page.

Manage your Projects from the overview page. You can see key metadata such as the name, workspace, and owner. Any published Product will show in the Published Versions table. You can also clone, or delete a project from the Manage Project section.

Version Control tracks and manages changes to projects in a history ledger, ensuring users can iterate and collaborate safely. The history ledger shows the changes made and allows Users to revert if needed. Under the hood, it leverages Git to offering engineering-grade tracking for your evolving projects.

  • Project-Level Ledger

    • Every change to a project, such as scene edits or configuration are committed and recorded in the ledger.
  • Visual Published Version History

    • The Published Versions table shows a chronological view of all published versions of products related to a project
    • View timestamp of when each product was published, and view each product version in Live Preview with starter UI menus for any configurability that has been added
  • Publishing Control

    • Control which published version appears on your website
    • Safely test changes in new versions that you publish, while ensuring previous versions are immutable and safe from altering
  • Revert Workflows

    • Within the history tab in a Project, you can revert any changes made
