glTF Editor Overview

The glTF Editor is a browser-based tool for building and configuring interactive 3D product scenes using glTF models. It supports reusable assets across projects, with each project maintaining its own configuration layer. Users can manage scenes, cameras, animations, and material variants, then publish versions for ecommerce use. The editor enforces strict naming rules to ensure publish success.

The editor is split into three modes — Edit Mode, Config Mode, and Preview Mode — providing different editing capabilities as you set up and preview your configurable 3D products.

  1. Edit Mode — the main editing environment where 3D artists and power users can import assets from the workspace files and craft the 3D scene.

  2. Config Mode — a no-code UI to define configurable product options and properties based on the glTF structure that has been created in Edit Mode.

  3. Preview Mode — a quick, live preview of how your final configurable product will look when embedded on a website.
