Getting Started

Dopple is designed to be easy to implement on any website, regardless of the tech stack, framework, or ecommerce platform your site is built with.

In most cases, it is recommended to set up your site first — create and products and variants in your platform’s backend, set up any pricing and inventory information you need, ensure that orders can be customized and placed successfully — before adding 3D visuals of your products to your site with Dopple.

Before implementing a 3D product onto your site, you will need the following:

  • An account on the Dopple Platform.
  • A published product (specifically, the project-name, workspace, and owner values).
  • (If your product is configurable) a list of all of the configurability values for the product.
  • The ability to add custom HTML and JavaScript to your site.

Building an excellent 3D configurator can be hard. Luckily, we’ve been around this block more than a time or two, and we’ve compiled all our learnings and recommendations onto the Best Practices page for you to use as you build.
